Keuka Mamas Group Interest Search

I am interested in starting up a group for mothers in the Keuka Lake area.

My hope is that this group would bring together new mothers and "seasoned vets" with the goals of experience sharing, friendship building, and playgroups formation for both the mothers and their children.

Working Mamas and At Home Mamas would all be welcome, as activities could be scheduled to meet interested parties needs.

Some activities that the group might want to pursue could include:
-Library Storytime
-Tours of the police or fire stations
-Visit Santa at the Mall
-Trip to the SprayPark at the State Park in Geneva
-Valentine's Day Party for the kids
-Bumper Bowling
-Cook-Offs
-Spring/Easter Party or Egg Hunt
-Mother's Day Tea
-Kite Flying
-Pottery Painting
-Fair/Parades/Carnivals
-Little League Games
-Family Picnics
-Weekend or Overnight Camping at the State Park
-Apple Picking
-Pumpkin Picking
-Back to School IceCream Social

These are not activities that I thought up on my own, but rather are a compilation of ideas I have seen on other mother's clubs web sites.

Some other groups that potential members might be interested in forming outside of the Mamas Group might include:

-Scrap and Stamp Group
-Book Club
-Little Readers Group for the younger children
-Game Club
-Art with your Child
-Breakfast Club
-Snack and Yak Group for Mamas
-Family Fun Time
-For the Little Ones- groups for the two and under crowd
-Cats Away Club- For Mamas to get together while their kids are in school.

My hope is that if the group had enough interest and members, perhaps we could get some speakers or information from community members to address specific areas of interest such as:
-estate and will planning
-financial planning/investing for our children's education
-Stranger Danger for young children
-art or sensory activities for young children
-behavior management
-Speech/OT/PT development
-Stretching your food budget
-Library Activities
